Minuette does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. The app processes audio locally on your Mac and writes output files only to the folder you explicitly select.
Audio recordings and transcripts are stored exclusively on your device, in the working folder you choose. Minuette does not upload audio or text to any server operated by the developer.
When you choose the Apple Intelligence modes, your transcript text is processed by Apple's FoundationModels framework. On-device mode runs entirely locally. Cloud-assisted mode sends data to Apple Private Cloud Compute under Apple's published privacy commitments. The developer has no access to this data.
When Ollama mode is enabled, your transcript text is sent to a locally-running Ollama instance on your own Mac
(default: localhost:11434). No data leaves your device unless you explicitly choose for it to do so.
Transcription models are downloaded from the WhisperKit distribution network on first use. Only the model binary is downloaded — no audio or transcript data is transmitted.
Minuette does not include any analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry SDKs.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new date.
